Chief justices from the region met last week to explore legal responses to pressing environment issues such as cross border threats from climate change, pollution, deforestation and the illegal trade in wildlife and timber.
The 3rd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Chief Justices Roundtable on the Environment aimed to expand collaboration and cooperation towards further work on the judiciary’s role in enforcing and developing environmental law in the region.
The Supreme Administrative Court of Thailand hosted the event with support from ADB, including the GMS Core Environment Program.
