Access Regional Climate Change Data

Uploaded on 30 August 2017

The CC-DDS hosts the results of the PRECIS regional climate model. Users can define an area of interest on the GMS map and download a range of climate change data data for this area, including daily values for Tmax, Tmin, precipitation, wind speed and direction, and solar radiation.

The Southeast Asia START Regional Center has developed the Climate Change Data Distribution System (CC-DDS) to disseminate the outputs of the PRECIS regional climate model to government and academic institutions working in the Greater Mekong Subregion. The datasets contain daily values for Tmax, Tmin, precipitation, wind speed and direction, and solar radiation at a resolution of 20x20km (GRID format, ready to use with GIS software). As part of a broader collaboration between SEA START and the GMS Core Environment Program, the Environment Operations Center GIS unit is hosting the SEA START PRECIS Climate Change Data and the Climate Change Data Distribution System. In September 2015 the CC-DDS was upgraded with new data.
