Mapping and Valuing Ecosystem Services

The Natural Capital Project is a joint effort of Stanford University and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to develop the science and methodology for systematically assessing the benefits of ecosystem services. The results of their research effort is the InVEST tool (Integrated Valuation of Ecoystem Services and Tradeoffs) which is a suite of free, open-source software modules to measure and map different types of ecosystem services.
